BA (Hons) Business with Foundation Year at Arden University is available to study with an Integrated Foundation Year. Studied over four years, this programme is perfect to prepare you for success at Undergraduate level. The foundation year will equip you with the essential skills needed to embark on your Undergraduate Degree in Business, including basic numeracy, academic and research skills. You'll study via our Blended Learning programme, which combines flexible online study with 2 days of lectures a week at one of our study centres in Manchester, Birmingham or London. If you are a STANDARD APPLICANT (the applicants who accomplish the academical requirements for year 1) you need to explain in Personal Statement, the reason why you want to apply for Foundation Year.

If you are a NON-STANDARD APPLICANT (the applicants who don't accomplish academical requirements and they are over 21 years old) they need to apply on work experience based (they need to supply any work experience reference to cover 1 year and the letter to be dated within 3 months). English must be on minimal 6.00 IELTS (no less than 5.5 on each component) or Functional Skills Level 2 or minimal B2 on Linguistic Certificate on every component . If you don't have any English Certificate you can have internal English Test.
A personal statement is an essay that the student must write to apply to study at the Personal Statement. Its purpose is to summarise your skills and experience and help you gain a place at your desired course. It must include the name of the university and the name of the course. You have to mention why are you applying to this particular university and what do you hope to achieve after the course, career wise. A well written personal statement will help you stand out in the crowd and secure you a place at your dream university. You can follow a specific guide to answer to some expected questions, however, you must not mention them in the essay. Have a clear, cursive structure and write between 350 - 550 words. If you have Baccalaureate Diploma and you want to apply for Foundation Year you need to explain the reason why you don't want to go directly to year 1.

NON-STANDARD APPLICANTS: the applicants who don't accomplish academical requirements (do not have Baccalaureate Diploma or 12 classes certificate or two subjects at GCE A-Level or equivalent, plus passes at grade C or above in three subjects at GCSE level or equivalent; OR Have completed a recognised Access Programme or equivalent: Level 3 qualification summarising 45 UCAS points ). The CV is a document which summarises an individual’s unique skills, character, experience and achievements.
The copy of the transcript of results will be mandatory just for the applicants who has just 12 Classes Certificate or who has Level 3 or completed an Access Program.
