Description

Modules have been designed with employers from a wide variety of backgrounds from the Institute of Leadership and Management of which are mapped to occupational standards. Provide a stimulating learning experience and for students to develop their potential to become outstanding graduates and business practitioners within an international business community. A stimulating and challenging learning opportunities and work-related experiences to enable full simulation and/or utilise students existing or previous experience. This course provides an opportunity for full time students to have a real experience through a managed and supported year-long work placement programme or shorter work experience, and through application of principles, models and theories within real-life settings.

Entry Requirements

This award is available as a top-up for students who have normally completed an HNC/D Business Management, Foundation Degree Business Management (or related subject) or ILM Diploma. However, many students gain entry via ILM, supervisory NEBBS, IM Certificate, Graduate Certificate in Management Studies (GCMS), the also non-business qualifications such as HNC or HND in computing, HNC or HND in tourism and leisure etc. Additional study may be required for students with non-business specific entry qualifications.

Your career

Students completing their BA (Hons) Business Management will have strong career prospects in various areas of business including Marketing, Operations management, Project Management, Human resource management and General administration on successful completion of the course. Graduates will leave the university with a high level of digital literacy allowing them to use and manipulate data to maximise business opportunities as well as the skills to develop collaborative relationships. You will also develop skills to start your own business or to improve your existing business setup. By completing this course you could also progress to a Master Programme at university in a number of Business Management disciplines.

Sales Executive

Sales executives promote products and services to clients and negotiate contracts with the aim of maximising profits. Salaries are often enhanced by a good benefits package, including commission-based earnings, bonuses, lunch allowances and sometimes health insurance and a company car.

Financial Analyst

A Financial Analyst helps companies and teams make the most of their finances. They provide guidance and advice on how much they should invest in stocks or bonds. They also assess which investments could bring the optimal return for their worth.

Risk Manager

The Risk Manager will oversee the organizations comprehensive insurance and risk management program, assessing and identifying risks that could impede the reputation, safety, security, or financial success of the organization

Banker

Managing client bank accounts, including opening and closing accounts, and overseeing transactions. Processing deposits, payments, and withdrawals. Authorizing and evaluating overdrafts and loans. Handling other transactions, such as writing cashier checks or money orders, when necessary.

Operations Executive

The Operations Executive role includes the following tasks: Communicating with upper management to develop strategic operations goals. Developing strategic long-range plans to achieve strategic objectives. Creating and managing the organization's fiscal operating and capital budget and expenses.
